How do I log time in Timegeist?
Three ways, all landing in one clean log. Type an offhand note in the chat logger ("2h on Acme marketing this morning") and the AI turns it into a structured entry you confirm. Drop in a screenshot or connect Google Calendar, and those become proposals in your Inbox to accept or dismiss. Or add an entry by hand — no AI required.
Do I need to use AI to track my time?
No. Manual entry and calendar sync work without spending an AI action. The chat logger and screenshot reading are there when you want them — the free plan includes 25 AI actions a month, and Pro makes them unlimited.
How do clients and projects work?
Projects belong to clients, and entries belong to projects. Track the same kind of work (say "Development") as a separate project under each client, tag it by work type, and Timegeist rolls your hours up by project or by client — on the dashboard, in the week view, and in every export.
Can I export for invoicing?
Yes. Every plan exports CSV and PDF with project, client, tags, billable status, and duration. Filter to a date range, project, or client first and the export matches exactly what you see.
Is my time private from my teammates?
Per entry. Visible entries show fully to your workspace, blocked entries show duration only, and private entries are never shared. Each project carries a default so new entries start with the privacy you intend.
